Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake (Perfect for Two)

This Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake recipe is a perfect size for Empty Nesters. Cooking for two after children leave the home is a challenge. We are used to making meals sized for a family. But once we become empty-nesters, we now are only cooking for two. And family-sized desserts can be downright dangerous when there are only two, at least in my house it is! This cake is chocolatey and moist, with a fudgy frosting. It is the perfect ending to any meal!

This cake is made with pantry staples that you would normally have in your cabinets or refrigerator; flour, sugar, cocoa, shortening, powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, pecans, eggs, butter, milk, and buttermilk.

This small variation of the classic Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake makes the perfect amount for two. If you are a chocolate lover like me, this cake will satisfy that chocolate sweet tooth!
